ChatHealth

ChatHealth is giving parents and carers of babies and young children a convenient and trusted way to access advice from their local health visiting team.

Used by health visiting services across the NHS, ChatHealth enables health visitors to support families with a wide range of concerns, including infant feeding, child development and behaviour, minor illnesses and more.

In 2025-26, more than 137,000 conversations were delivered by services supporting families with children aged 0-5 year-olds. ChatHealth has also gained national recognition through its inclusion in the refreshed Healthy Child Programme.

Health for Under 5s is supporting NHS health visiting teams extend their reach, providing parents and carers of babies and young children with trusted health information and local support whenever they need it.

With more than 720 thousand visits in 2025-26, Health for Under 5s is delivered in partnership with nine NHS partners, combining nationally developed content with local information and support pathways.

Health for Under 5s  covers everything that new and prospective parents and carers need to know about through their child’s development, from pregnancy through to the preschool years.
