Following the success of ChatHealth messaging service to help young people reach school nurses, a number of young people’s mental health support team (MHST’s) have adopted ChatHealth messaging to offer an easier way for young people to access mental health support.

Mental Health Support Teams (MHSTs) are using ChatHealth to reach young people in schools to:

  • offer a direct route for young people to engage with mental health practitioners
  • overcome the fear and stigma of reaching out for mental health support
  • provide a safe and secure way to manage referrals and appointment requests
